STEP 1: This is what the rest of your first aid capabilities will be built upon.
These are courses through which you can earn a nationally recognized, accredited, OSHA compliant and official 2 year First Aid, CPR, AED Adult, Child, Infant certification. This is a certification that will satisfy your employer's requirements. We offer classes in person, blended and by RSV. This specific course is not the BLS course for health care professionals or first responders.
In person- We can come to you, providing education in a convenient manner.
Blended- This is the most flexible, hybrid approach that combines online learning and in-person, hands-on skills verification.
RSV- This is an online training with live, online Remote Skills Verification from an authorized instructor. Online education portion is completed by you. Once complete, all of the CPR, AED and first aid devices and materials needed will be mailed to you and then an online skills verification will be completed.

Our Pediatric CPR, AED & First Aid training course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in Idaho. You will learn how to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant. This class includes CPR and AED use for Children and Infants. This course is for day care worker, nannies and babysitters.

This course will help you to identify the foundational aspects in mitigating a first aid situation. This foundation will help you stay focused and take charge in a first aid situation. You will learn the basics of mindset and leadership and how they apply to first aid.

This course will help you to assess a first aid situation. Then, identify and organize the priorities of a first aid situation. - This course is a mini wilderness first aid course or remote location with delayed rescue response course.
- You will learn a systematic way to recognize, treat and mitigate injuries and trauma. We will cover commercially manufactured first aid equipment and how to improvise these items.
- All first aid training supplies will be provided.
- You will learn how to conduct a basic trauma assessment.
- We cover Situational & Personal Safety, Massive Hemorrhage/Life Threatening Bleeding, Airway issues and management, Respiratory system injuries, Circulation/Shock/Hypothermia, Head, Neck & Spine injuries, breaks/fractures & moving patients.
- All of these topics will be oriented to a injurious or trauma setting.
- Bring note taking material. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Bring weather appropriate clothing; jackets, beanies, gloves etc. We may run some scenarios outside.
- Bring your first aid kit, if you have one, for evaluation throughout the course.
-DON'T buy a kit before class, if you don't have one.
- We will have a 45 minute break for lunch, which you can leave for.
-Food will not be provided.
- Bring water, snacks & lunch if you would like to.
- CPR will not be covered in this course.
- This course is tailored to your comfort level, if you do not want to move people or be moved, that is okay. Simply observing and participating within your "comfort level" in this course is fine.

- This is a much more indepth bleeding control class than Stop The Bleed.
- Life threatening bleeding can happen to people injured in everyday situations, accidents or disasters. - Upon completion of this class you will learn how to recognize and treat life threatening bleeding, act quickly and effectively.
- We cover multiple tourniquets; CAT GEN 7, SOF GEN 5, SAM XT, SWAT, RATS, and improvised. We will also cover life threatening bleeding with children, multiple compression dressings, chest seals and wound packing.
- We will also cover minor bleeds and wound care.
- We use fake blood so wear clothes that may get stained.
Bring your first aid kit to class for hands on evaluation.
Do not buy a first aid kit before this class.
I have also applied tourniquets to real patients not just in training!

This is a great addition to and expansion of the First Aid aspect of our Core Class.
- We cover basic medical assessments, medical form use, how to recognize, treat and mitigate approximately 20 different illnesses. We will cover bites, stings & epi pen use.

- This is for individuals, families or groups who have some first aid education, equipment and/or training.
-You realize your education, equipment, and/or training are incomplete and you would like to remedy that.
- This class will identify the priorities of a first aid kit. You will also have a defined template to follow when buying or evaluating a first aid kit.

- This class will cover traditional first aid for choking in adults, children and infants, responsive and unresponsive. - We also cover and conduct hands on practice with Life Vac. We will review differences between the real Life Vac and the knock off choking relief devices.
- Most CPR & first aid classes cover choking relief with a video and very little hands on practice. In this class you will spend 2-3 hours covering and practicing choking first aid.
- I have treated multiple kids and infants who were choking and thankfully all of them have lived.
I will cover these real world choking situations which I have encountered on duty and off duty.

- We cover the CAT GEN 7 tourniquet, a chest seal, a compression dressing and wound packing.

- This class is for families and to be completed together as a family. This class would appropriate for families with “younger” children, 6-12.
-Topics we will cover and practice will be: What is first aid? The mindset needed to think through a first aid situation. How to determine if there is an emergency. How to call 911, what does 911 say to you and ask you, what does EMS need from you.
Personal safety in a first aid situation, bleeding control (minor and life threatening), airway management & choking, respiratory system injury care, Life Vac, intro to shock, head, neck and spine injury care. Splinting wrist and ankle with SAM splints.
Lastly, what to do about bites, stings and burns.
This class is approximately 2-3 hours depending on class size, age and attention span of the children and experience level.

First aid skills and education are "perishable." Therefore, we must continually revisit our education and equipment in order to keep them honed, ready and up to date.
These are in person sessions and are offered in 3 ways, see above. As you go from 1-3, the sessions build upon each other and increase in the realism and stress. Ultimately, increasing an individual's ability to see the big picture and think their way through a situation in a cool, calm and collected manner.
